When he is not reaching out to his unchurched neighbors, caring for those around him, or studying the Bible, Pastor Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, cycling, hiking, riding his Harley, or just about anything else that will get him outdoors so that he can enjoy God’s awesome creation.
Pastor Michael Schleider has been our pastor since 2009. He is originally from Texas and has been married for over 25 years to his wife Kimberly nee Pavlik. They have two children, a daughter Stacie, and a son James. Pastor Mike holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and he also brings a lot of leadership experience to his Pastoral calling. He is a veteran of the US Marines, and was employed for several years as the Chief of a rural sheriff’s department. Before being called into full time ministry, Pastor Mike served in the church for years as a volunteer youth counselor and also as an elder. He also has experience in jail ministry where he taught faith based substance abuse classes.
